Insights from Justin: How SNF
Helps Families with Special Needs Thrive

Can you share a bit about yourself so we can get to know you before we jump right in?
What’s your connection to the Baboth family
and how did it bring you to SNF?
I am Rob Baboth's son-in-law married to Arden, we have an 11-month old daughter Violet. I live in Hamilton, 18 minutes from Rob and Mary Beth's by design. Fun fact, Rob, his son Dylan, Arden and I all worked together at RBC which is why I am here today. Insurance roots run deep in this family.

So now that we have gotten to know you personally, can you share a bit about your background?
My work requires families to be as open with me as possible to cover all gaps in coverage. Within my role, I tend to find myself getting quite personal with all my clients. Information needed to quote our products properly, requires a discussion that you wouldn't normally have with a friend or a neighbour. This tends to be where I uncover information indirectly about families and their struggles.
How do you believe our services can make a
difference for the families you refer?
It adds a layer of protection that goes beyond the traditional scope of our industry. All members of SNF Navigation are caring and compassionate individuals. I know that the moment I hand off my clients to SNF Navigation , they will be well cared for. Most of these families have spent their lives navigating the unknown, trying to help their family members not only sustain but possibly thrive. SNF Navigation is the first organization where I can tell a client, 'They’ll take it from here.' It’s safe to assume that the majority of these families haven’t had an 'easy' life. SNF Navigation is like the warm embrace of a parent after a long, grueling day, allowing them to finally let go of their worries.
How does your work—and your role as an SNF Ambassador—support families with special needs dependents?
To my point above, my role allows people to open up to me. The spectrum of where individuals are in their lives varies from thriving and successful to struggling and desperate. It serves as a humble reminder that everyone has their own challenges across that spectrum. My role allows me to protect their assets and what they hold dear. As you can imagine, providing this service since 2018 has made me passionate about what I do. I believe that simply helping protect their assets isn’t enough if I uncover additional struggles in their lives. Like insurance, SNF Navigation is a beacon of protection for those with special needs. Being an ambassador only strengthens my career and aligns with my belief that everyone deserves a helping hand.
In what ways do you see us working together to
better support these families?
In my industry, it is common practice to 'round out accounts.' This means that if I have auto insurance for a client, I should aim to secure their home, commercial, and life insurance as well. For clients who hold all these products with me, I become that one person who helps them with anything related to 'insurance.' SNF Navigation ’s role is to replicate that for families with special needs dependents requiring financial aid. It only makes sense to partner with SNF Navigation to create a feeling of security across their financial and insurance needs.
What advice would you give to those looking to better support families with special needs—and how can they connect with you?
If you want to be a true pillar in your community, partner with SNF Navigation. I don’t doubt your passion for what you do, but SNF raises the bar. They’ve built their entire mission around helping families with special needs dependents—putting in the time, heart, and resources to make a lasting difference. Whatever your profession, aligning with a cause like this not only strengthens your impact but sets you apart from the competition. Showing genuine care for your clients means connecting them with resources that improve their lives, even beyond the services you provide.
